Bass

Called in sick today from work, so i've been wandering around the internet for a couple of hours now. I ran across this clip of a live performance by Jaco Pastorius. Jaco was one of the pioneers of implementing harmonics into the play of the bass guitar, particularly the fretless bass, and is considered one of the best to have lived. Like a lot of geniuses, Jaco suffered from bouts of mental illness and also was a know drug abuser. Jaco died at the age of 35, after being beaten to death by a doorman who refused Jaco's entry into a club. Pay attention to the detail and speed in the clip... things sound real familiar at around 2:11 & 4:02. RIP.
